Diptych

A diptych consists of two images that belong together. Sometimes they look almost identical, while other times they show striking differences. Jules Spinatsch uses this traditional format to present different perspectives on the Limmattal. His works place similarities and contrasts side by side: natural stone and artificial facades reveal surprisingly similar textures, colors reappear in environments that seem entirely unrelated, and certain shapes emerge in different landscapes, connecting seemingly distant places.

The diptychs displayed in the lift lobbies of parking levels P1, P4, and P5 showcase the Limmattal in all its diversity. They create a new visual dialogue by bringing together different materials, structures, and locations.
