Data Protection Guidelines

Responsibility
The Verein ART FLOW (Association AF), located at Predigergasse 10, 8001 Zurich, is responsible for implementing the ART FLOW project as a component of Regionale 2025 – Projektschau Limmattal. The objective is to produce and communicate new, specifically developed art projects. The Verein ART FLOW is responsible for the lawful processing of personal data collected, used and stored in connection with its activities.

Collection, Use and Processing of Personal Data

Personal data of third parties is collected and processed when using the website www.art-flow.ch, primarily in the context of registering to receive the newsletter and to participate in events and outreach programmes. The following personal data is collected in this context: Name, e‑mail address, home address, business address and telephone numbers of the user if he/she provides them, information on the events of the Association AF in which the user has already participated, IP address, operating system used, browser ID and browser activity and interaction with our or other websites of the user.

Purpose of Personal Data Processing

The personal data collected is used to process contracts with our customers and business partners, in particular in the context of participation in our events. In addition, the data is used for the purpose of advertising our events and projects as well as for internal association statistics on the use of our offers. By submitting your personal data, you consent to the relevant use of your data. You can revoke this consent at any time.

Cookies

We use cookies to facilitate the use of our website. Cookies are information files that your web browser automatically stores on your computer’s hard drive when you visit our website. The information contained in the cookies is used to control the session, in particular to improve navigation and enable a high degree of user-friendliness of a website. They also make it possible, in particular, to determine the frequency of use and number of users of the pages, to analyse behaviour patterns of page use, but also to make our offer more user-friendly. Most Internet browsers accept cookies automatically and cookies remain stored beyond the termination of the browser session and can be retrieved when you visit the site again. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or a message always appears when you receive a new cookie. Deactivating cookies may mean that you cannot use all the functions of our website. A general objection to the use of cookies for online marketing purposes can be declared for many of the services, especially in the case of tracking, via the US site http://www.aboutads.info/choic… or the EU site http://www.youronlinechoices.com/. In addition, the storage of cookies can be disabled by deactivating them in the browser settings. Please note that you may then not be able to use all the functions of this online offer. The provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are: Browser type and browser version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request.

Data transfer

In the context of personal data processing, the Association AF uses a cloud solution from an external service provider. The data transfer takes place on the basis of a contract on commissioned data processing, in which the external service provider has undertaken to comply with the duties of care in accordance with data protection law. Beyond this, we only pass on your data if we are obliged to do so by law or by official or court orders.

Duration of Storage of Personal Data

We process and store your personal data for as long as it is necessary for the fulfilment of our contractual and legal obligations or the purposes pursued with the processing, i.e. for example for the duration of the entire business relationship (from the initiation, processing to the termination of a contract) as well as beyond that in accordance with the legal storage and documentation obligations. In this context, it is possible that personal data will be retained for the time during which claims can be asserted against our association (i.e. in particular during the statutory limitation period) and insofar as we are otherwise legally obliged to do so or legitimate business interests require this. As soon as your personal data is no longer required for the above-mentioned purposes, it will be deleted or anonymised as a matter of principle and as far as possible.

Rights of the Data Subjects
Within the framework of the data protection law applicable to you, you have the right to information, correction and deletion, the right to restrict data processing and to object to our data processing, as well as to the release of certain personal data for the purpose of transferring it to another entity (so-called data portability). Please note, however, that we reserve the right to enforce the restrictions provided for by law, for example if we are obliged to retain or process certain data, if we have an overriding interest in doing so (insofar as we are entitled to rely on this) or if we need the data to assert claims. If you incur costs, we will inform you in advance. You can contact us for the aforementioned purposes via the e‑mail address info@art-flow.ch. We reserve the right to request proof of identity in order to process your requests.

Newsletter

You are welcome to subscribe to our newsletter on our website. Registration is required for this. The following information must be provided as part of the registration: first and last name, address, and email address. We use the information only for the purpose of sending our newsletter and for our own advertising purposes. You are free to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.
We use the list provider MailChimp to send our newsletter. MailChimp is a service of The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 512 Means Street, Suite 404, Atlanta, GA 30318 («Rocket»). The data stored during registration is transmitted to Rocket in encrypted form and stored by Rocket. After registration, MailChimp will send you an email to confirm your registration. Furthermore, MailChimp offers various analysis options about how the sent newsletters are opened and used, e.g. to how many users an email was sent, whether emails were rejected and whether users unsubscribed from the list after receiving an email. MailChimp also uses the Google Analytics analysis tool from Google, Inc and may integrate it into the newsletters. Further details on MailChimp’s data protection can be found at www.mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/.

Google F
onts
Our website uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font is used by your computer. For more information about Google Web Fonts, please visit https://developers.google.com/… and read Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

Google Analytics
Our website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider of the web analytics service is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses «cookies.» These are small text files that your web browser stores on your terminal device and enable an analysis of website usage. Information generated by means of cookies about your use of our website is transmitted to a Google server and stored there. The server is usually located in the USA. The setting of Google Analytics cookies is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.
