Sandra Knecht - Chnächt Kloster Fahr

Sandra Knecht – Chnächt Kloster Fahr

Sandra Knecht (*1968, CH) places food at the center of her artistic practice – as a sociocultural act, and as a medium of memory, identity, and shared experience. Her work blends agriculture, ritual, and contemporary art into sensuous spaces that reflect and question cultural traditions and social norms around nourishment.

For ART FLOW, Knecht has developed a series of dishes and products in collaboration with the agricultural and culinary teams of Kloster Fahr – all local, site-specific, and created especially for this project. Her «Chnächt» creations will be served throughout the summer from a specially designed food truck located in the monastery’s beer garden.

In doing so, her artistic practice becomes embedded in the daily rhythm of the working monastery – and offers a new way to experience how art, culture, and food can meaningfully connect

Thanks to the collaboration with Fahr Erlebnis, the project is embedded directly within the monastery’s working agricultural environment – creating an immediate and tangible connection between art, daily life, and agrarian culture.
