ZACK – A Monument for the Limmat Valley

Location: By Killwangen – Spreitenbach railway station

With ZACK, Beat Zoderer realises the final and concluding project of ART FLOW.

At the symbolic centre of the Limmat Valley, an approximately eight-metre-high sculpture made of colourfully painted steel will rise, condensing the river, the valley and its diverse habitats into a single, powerful statement.

Situated in close proximity to the railway line, motorway and the River Limmat, ZACK becomes a new visual reference point for the valley: a striking exclamation mark in the landscape, visible to everyone passing through the Limmat Valley.

The sculpture brings together movement and stability, everyday life and meaning – opening up space for individual interpretation.

The event marks the conclusion of ART FLOW and invites the public to experience this special moment together in the public realm.

Beat Zoderer is one of the most influential Swiss artists of his generation – and with ZACK he creates a sign that resonates far beyond the Limmat Valley.
