Panel discussion with artist Olaf Nicolai and Thomas Irmer, theatre scholar, dramaturge and publicist as well as Christoph Doswald, artistic director of ART FLOW
At the Sachs Foyer, Kurtheater Baden
Start: 8:00 p.m.
Duration: 1 hour (no intermission)
Since June 11, a mysterious message has been glowing on the pavilion roof of the Kurtheater Baden. The light intervention by renowned artist Olaf Nicolai, created as part of the ART FLOW project, evokes a multitude of questions and creates a multi-layered echo space. The starting point of this complex work is a statement by the German theatre director Heiner Müller, who described “being estranged from oneself” as a prerequisite for creative processes and critical reflection.Thomas Irmer
In conversation with Thomas Irmer, editor at Theater der Zeit, Olaf Nicolai and Christoph Doswald, artistic director of ART FLOW, discuss the intersections between art, theatre and context, particularly in relation to the history of theatre in Baden.
