French artist Lou Masduraud (*1990) presents her new work «Milky Way»: around 30 small bronze stars will be installed in public spaces near local museums between Zurich and Baden.
Masduraud explores social norms and invisible structures that often go unquestioned. For ART FLOW, she has created an installation that stretches across the valley and invites viewers to see the landscape and public space with fresh eyes.
The bronze stars directly reference the title «Milky Way». They serve as an artistic response to the discreet metal markers embedded in the ground that define territorial boundaries. Instead of these official signs, Masduraud offers poetic counterpoints — stars that subtly reshape how we navigate and experience the space.
The stars are placed near local museums in the valley — institutions dedicated to preserving regional history and storytelling. The result is a constellation of art, memory and place that encourages discovery and reflection.
«Milky Way» is realised in collaboration with the following museums:
Ortsmuseum Albisrieden (Zurich), Ortsmuseum Altstetten (Zurich), Historical Museum Baden, Ortsmuseum Dietikon, Ortsmuseum Schlieren, Ortsmuseum Unterengstringen, Ortsmuseum Urdorf, and Ortsmuseum Wiedikon (Zurich).
