Gloria Galovic

Young artist Gloria Galovic (b. 1993) from Wettingen describes herself as obsessed with picture-taking and reality-framing. She captures whatever comes in front of her lens. Her favourite motifs are people, in groups or at special moments. Her documentary photographs of travellers at tourist hotspots and her photographic engagement with her own family during the Covid pandemic oscillate between snapshot-like randomness and precisely thought-out composition. For ART FLOW, Galovic has observed the leisure culture along the Limmat River, thus producing striking images that document a diverse range of activities: The banal leisure-time behaviour of a society geared towards consumption meets caring, committed interaction with nature.
